Inter Solar Munich is one of the largest and most influential international solar exhibitions in the world. It gathers numerous renowned companies from the industry. The exhibition is known for its lively atmosphere and receives high praise from exhibitors and visitors alike.

The European Smart Energy Exhibition (TSEE 2023) was successfully held from June 14th to 16th, 2023. TSEE 2023 was divided into four exhibition areas: Intersolar Europe for solar energy, EES Europe for batteries and energy storage systems, Power2Drive Europe for new energy vehicles and charging equipment, and EM-Power for energy management and integrated energy solutions. The exhibition covered four energy themes: photovoltaics, energy storage, charging infrastructure, and smart grids. A total of 2,469 exhibitors from 57 countries showcased their products and solutions in 17 exhibition halls and outdoor areas covering 180,000 square meters. Over 106,000 visitors from 166 countries attended the event in Munich, making it the largest and most international event in its history.

[German Solar Market]

Germany is a leading solar energy country in the world. In the past three years, the production of solar-related products in Germany has increased fivefold, with a growth rate twice as high as the global average. Munich, located in the heart of Europe, has convenient geographical location, excellent transportation infrastructure, and state-of-the-art exhibition halls, making it the center of the solar energy industry in Germany and Europe. According to the statistics of the European Union's statistical office, in January-February 2018, the bilateral trade volume between Germany and China reached 26.55 billion USD, an increase of 2.9%. Germany's exports to China were 13.53 billion USD, an increase of 9.9%, accounting for 6.3% of Germany's total exports, an increase of 0.3 percentage points. Germany imported 13.02 billion USD from China, a decrease of 3.5%, accounting for 7.4% of Germany's total imports, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points. As of February 2018, China was Germany's fifth-largest export destination and the second-largest source of imports.

Alexander Reitzenstein, a climate and energy policy advisor at E3G Berlin, stated that in 2018, renewable energy accounted for over 40% of Germany's electricity generation, while natural gas accounted for 7%. The German government has committed to increasing the share of renewable energy to 65% by 2030. Due to the current characteristics of the German energy system, many existing gas-fired power plants are operating at low capacity. At the same time, Germany is a net exporter of electricity, and although the gradual phase-out of coal and nuclear power may lead to a decrease in the export share, the ambitious expansion of renewable energy capacity, especially wind and solar, will contribute the most to filling this gap.
