NMN can restore cognitive impairment caused by harmful compounds

In August 2023, a research team from South China Agricultural University published a study in Food and Chemical Toxicology.

Exposure to NP caused learning and memory impairments in rats, while low doses of NMN restored cognition.

NMN increases the number of learning-related receptors called serotonin receptors in a brain region (the hippocampus) that plays a key role in learning and memory.

The findings suggest that NMN may help prevent cognitive decline caused by the harmful compound NP.
